Sunday, July 6, Living Waters Baptist Church/Bible Baptist Church/Condell Park Bible Church (Sydney)
So glad to have Kerri on our team and congratulations to her as she officially passed her NCLEX exam before leaving for our travels. It is great to have a team “nurse.” Kerri, take it away!
Today was a busy, busy day as we served in three different churches. In the morning service at the Brazzell’s church (Living Waters Baptist Church in Parramatta), Andrew preached on the Good Samaritan, Alex preached on humility, and Josh preached on Identity. Several specials were sung including Bella and Kerri singing “Jesus Thank You,” Ben Jackey singing “In Faith I Follow,” and our group singing “Wherever You Are.” Bella and Kelina taught the children’s Sunday school and Jaina and Kerri worked in the crèche (nursery). It was a blessing that Josh was able to encourage a church member that was going through a difficult time. Overall, the Brazzell family was such an encouragement, and I’m so glad we got to spend this morning with them.
In the afternoon the ladies put on a ladies conference for Bible Baptist Church in Liverpool. These ladies at this Filipino church were competitive, and they know how to have a great time serving the Lord. Christina spoke and led the conference focusing on “The Mystery of Salvation, Suffering, and Success.”
The evening service was at Condell Park Bible Church. The group sang “Bow the Knee,” and Ben sang “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need.” One new church attendee mentioned the song the group sang brought her to tears and encouraged her. Alex preached from Job 1 entitled, “Would God Mention You.” After the service the team attended a meeting to prepare for the Condell Park Holiday Kid’s Club this week. Please pray for us this week as we have the opportunity to participate in Condell Park’s Holiday Kid’s Club as well as conduct a Youth Rally at Bible Baptist Church–exciting opportunities to minister!
Our love and appreciation to each one of you, Team Australia!
PS: The team was able to find Krispy Kreme donuts at Costco–once Kelina found out, she became very territorial and mentioned that she was more than happy to watch them at all times! ;0)
