Tuesday-Wednesday, July 15-16, Faith Baptist Church (Fawkner, VIC)/The Sutton Family (Berwick, VIC)

Kerri and Christina tag team our Tuesday/Wednesday update!

Kerri: It’s Tuesday (insert Australian accent here). God has been blessing us and our ministry here so greatly. Alex gave the team a devotional challenge in the morning. We all helped in Holiday Kids Club at Faith Baptist Church. We planted seeds for children to know Christ. Christina, Josh, Andrew, and Jaina put on the puppet show for the kids. Alex and Bella organized the games, and the rest of the team were team leaders with the kids. They had an awesome petting zoo today that the kids loved, as they learned about Noah’s ark. At the end of the kids club there was a rainbow which was prayed for. Later in the evening we went to Pastor Sutton’s house and had homemade food with them. Pastor Sutton shared his heart for the Jewish community with us as we picked his brain about his experience with ministry to them. We had a devotional and praised the Lord for His greatness.

Christina: This morning started out early. As the sun peeked over the skyscrapers of Melbourne, several of the team went to a coffee shop before we loaded up the van to head out for our final day of Faith Baptist Holiday Kids Club. We sang songs, played games, and ate egg and beef burgers for lunch. Andrew, Christina, Jaina, and Josh enjoyed using puppets to share the message of Noah and the ark. Then, Pastor Frank presented a gospel message to the children, and we had the opportunity to lead two kids to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. When kids club ended, we piled into the van and drove three hours to a motel. Tonight, we finished our evening with an amazing meal of pasta, steak, and tiramisu. Tomorrow morning, we will head up to the young adults camp for a time of fellowship and spiritual refreshment. Today was a good reminder that God is at work in every stage of life.
