Sunday PM, July 20, Graceway Baptist Church (Footscray, Victoria)
Bella wraps up our Sunday pm ministry with Josh Zacharias… On our drive down to Melbourne, we stopped at Coles. While most Americans may think of clothing, in Australia, Coles is a food market. We got lots of classic Australian snacks to take home to our families.
After our snack souvenir run, we quickly checked into our accommodations for the night and dashed off to the last ministry opportunity of our trip — Graceway Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Zacharias. As a group, we sang “Bow the Knee” and “Wherever You Are.” Alex brought the message for tonight about remembering the true reason that Jesus came, and how we should live in light of that. When the service came to a close, we fellowshipped one last time (and went with Pastor Josh and the team to get gelato) and headed back to our rooms for our last night in Australia. We will be leaving our motel around 5:30 am to arrive at the Melbourne Airport to leave for the States around 9:40 am! Please pray for Pastor Josh and Graceway Baptist Church as they will be officially launching their church on Sunday, July 28!
While these partings are sad, they are not permanent. We will see these believers again one day in heaven. Even though our time together was short, eternal bonds were created. We may no longer be able to see these people each day, but we now have the opportunity to pray for them individually by name and the ability to better pray for the people of Australia. God used this trip to not only change the lives of people in Australia, but the lives of every member of our team. To God be the glory!
